Well, more issues now the account have limited access:

"We've noticed possible suspicious activity on your account. For security purposes, we've temporarily limited your access to protect your information until you reach out to us."

By the way limited access means NO ACCESS so keep that in mind if that happens to you, I had a link to contact them so I did hopefully I'll have a response but right now this is the situation, again this is very common with Etsy now a days due to the lack of communication and algorithm being crazy.

Listen, I understand that Etsy is trying to clean out the house, I've been an Etsy seller since 2016, Etsy has become another eBay but worst at least  eBay has more control over what they do and help their sellers the best they can. The idea of Etsy at the beginning was to have handmade products made by original people that had the ability to make things with their wisdom of whatever craft they know, this is no longer the case and now the want to regain back what an idea was once established. My opinion is that Etsy has lost control over what is permitted or not and is just a flea market braking all kind of rules.

Being said that, at this point I'm not going to keep myself thinking what is going to happen. Like I've said I'm working on more projects to post on my website which I trust and I don't have to deal with the politics and rules of a site that is unpredictable. Income is important and I found very concerning that Etsy does not care about this when it comes down to peoples account and what it means to allot of people that depend so much on the site for their bushiness to provide to them.

After a long time I had the idea of having an Etsy Shop for my wood working projects, I've finally open the shop. At the shop you will find wood working projects that are mainly for sale made by only me in my wood working shop. I'm looking forward to grow my business, I think the Etsy shop is a good start since I have experience selling on Etsy.

Right now I have posted a Blue Bird House made of  cedar wood, this project I haven't done a video yet but I love making these houses for the birds to have a family. The Bird house is an easy and fun project to make that I enjoy making I've already sold several of them locally so I thought it would be great to post on Etsy and see what happens, if you are interested please don't hesitate to visit Rose Wood Work Etsy Shop I'm sure you wont be disappointment. NOTE: After writing this blog later on the day Etsy has suspended my account, I have no idea why but I've just appeal. Etsy is famous for this so I'm not worried, but because of this issue I've decided to sell here on my own website one less thing to worry about I rather be secure then sorrow. I'm glad I don't depend on Etsy never had so I know the drill with this situations I've seen allot of people going through this so I'm prepared. Mean while I will continue to create my wood projects to sale since I was super pump about opening the store, Etsy will not ruin my day.  06/27/2024 3:22pm

This project took me more time than I though, the good thing is that it has been a learning curve. All wood projects comes down to make your home more efficient and beautiful, all wood workers start that way by improving their homes. I had a need for a problem that I've had for a long time and I bet you do too, I'm talking about the shower mat.

Shower mats are important, they save you for a bad slippery fall in the shower. My aunt use to tell me when I was a kid that the worst accidents are in the shower, I believe it and now more than ever than I'm older. Now these shower mats are usually made out of PVC material witch is toxic to the environment when you get rid of them, then after a while if you don't make the appropriate cleaning to the mat you get mold and now you are exposed to highly toxic germs. The bad news is that most of the people buy this type of shower mats because they are the most inexpensive of the selections of shower mats in the market.

So for me looking for an alternate solution was the infamous and super expensive Teak shower mat, Teak wood is beautiful but expensive you will usually find this in a Sauna room and also as an expensive shower mat at the stores. Teak is known for its incredible durability and water resistance. Teak has a high oil content, giving it the highest decay-resistance among all natural wood products. Teak is used for boat building, yachts, exterior construction, indoor and outdoor furniture, veneer, carvings, frames, and more. So is a good wood to work with hands down, maybe in the future I will get the opportunity to work with this type of wood.

Anyway the video that you are about to watch was an example on how to make a shower mat made out of wood, the one I've done is made  with pine wood which is not the best choice of wood for this particular project since pine wood is not very fond of water, but I did get a nice deck stain that I've use to protect the wood hopefully that will give the shower mat a longer life in my shower. If it gets bad the worst thing that can't happen is that I will have to make a new one. Check the video out you will enjoy my procedure and obstacles I have encounter as a wood worker, makes me look like an apprentice but in reality I didn't planned, researched or made a blue print of my project I just went with the flow with what I had.

I want to make this my job I'm very passionate about wood working and grow in to a small business. Having my tools with  me is important, I really take care of them and appreciate all the work that they let me do through out my journey as a wood worker. I like personalizing them because sometimes these tools travel with me to a workshop or class or even work, so I like them to be engrave with RWW so I know is mine and wont confuse with other persons tools on a job site.

This little project was very fun to do, I love reading books and this thing made out wood is the perfect Triangle Book Stand. I've made this Triangle out of pine wood and add a new finish that I've never use from Minwax. But watch the video and check out what I'm talking about.
